Savings bank foundation SR-Bank

Sparebankstiftelsen SR-Bank was established 1th January 2012 as a result of the conversion of SpareBank SR-Bank into a limited liability company (ASA).

The foundation ( Sparebankstiftelsen SR-Bank) is the largest shareholder of  SpareBank 1 SR-Bank ASA with an ownership of  28,3 %. The ownership shall be at least 25% of the issued shares of SpareBank 1 SR-Bank ASA.

Our Objectives:

Sparebankstiftelsen SR-Bank was given two objectives from its very start:

–  To be a significant, stable and long-term owner of SpareBank 1 SR-Bank ASA.
–  To preserve the traditions pursued by Norway`s savings bank traditions, including donations for the common good in the region Agder, former Hordaland and Rogaland.

The Foundation can dispose from the profits and distribute to charitable causes.The Foundation shall, in its distribution of donations preferably taking into account the districts that  contributed to the capital in SpareBank 1 SR-Bank.

–  dividend policy
–  corporate  governance
–  communication between the foundation and the bank

Gift strategy

The Foundation supports projects and organisations in the region. The capital shall be a source of inspiration for individuals and  organisations, enabling them to realise their ideas and initiatives for the joy and benefit of the public and especially young people.
